A Presidential Awardee of Republic of India in 2003, Anoop Swarup has over 32 years of distinguished professional experience In diverse roles as a civil servant, peace activist, futurist, social entrepreneur and educationist. He founded the ‘Sambhav’ Trust for de addiction in 2008, ‘Sambhavami’ not for profit society to promote micro enterprises in 1992 and conceptualised the ‘National Reconstruction Corp’, ‘UNDP-NYKS Poverty Alleviation Awards’ and the ‘Millennium Youth Parliament’ in 2000 that was presided by the Prime Minister, initiated a ‘National Think Tank’ in Union Ministry of Finance in 2004, launched annual international conference on ‘Indian Civilisation through the Millennium’ in 2008. He is founder Trustee of ‘Indian Council of Gandhian Studies’ (ICGS), Fellow of Academy of Zoology, World Business Council, Life Member of ‘Indian Institute of Public Administration’ (IIPA) ‘All India Management Association’ (AIMA), ‘International Institute for Strategic Studies’ (IISS), and on Global Advisory Board of Human Dignity and Humiliation and Orgdyne, USA and Governing Council of Centre for Global Non Killing, Hawaii, founded ‘Global Knowledge Alliance’, ‘Sierra Biolife’, Australia.
As a UN Finance and International Strategic Expert and Diplomat nominated by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon in 2007, as Vice Chancellor of Shobhit University in 2008 and as the founding Vice Chancellor of Jagran Lakecity University in 2012. He started his career in the Public Sector with General Insurance Corporation of India in 1981, and in various senior roles as a civil servant with Government of India as Member of Indian Revenue Service in 1985 that include Executive Director of NYKS, the largest umbrella Youth organization in the Ministry of Human Resources, Director and Commissioner in the Ministry of Finance. An alumnus of Universities in India and abroad, he holds a Doctorate and four distinguished Masters having secured first positions and University Gold Medals in diverse fields that include Management, Finance, Defense & Strategy and Life Sciences. He has been a Fulbright Visitor to United States (2004), Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow (2002), Ausaid Fellowship (2001), recipient of NCERTs National Science Talent Scholarship (1971), UGCs JRF (1980), CSIRs SRF (1981) and Commonwealth Scholarship to Cambridge University (1981). He has been a resource person and a Visiting Professor with Monash University, Australia, Lancaster University, UK, International Institute of Strategic Studies, Geneva, and WCO at Brussels, WIPO Washington DC, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and several other Institutions in India and abroad. He has authored several research papers and books notable being ‘The World of Money laundering, Commercial frauds & Financial Crimes’ and 'Regional Economic Engagements & Free Trade Agreements' He is the Chief Editor of ‘International Journal of Contemporary Research in Engineering and Technology’, Editor at Large of ‘Jagran International Journal of Contemporary Research’ and Editor ‘Nice Journal of Business’, listed in Cabels Directory, USA. |
